Growing into the Frame

When I started shooting street, I spent a lot of time chasing the look—the perfect frame, the legendary style, the images I admired in books and galleries. I mimicked what inspired me, thinking that was the way in.

But over time, something shifted. I stopped looking for the “right” shot and started paying attention to what naturally caught my eye: broken signs, rusted bikes, empty streets, soft shadows. The ordinary. The overlooked. The real.

Growth came not from mastering techniques, but from trusting my instincts. From walking slower. Seeing deeper. Letting the moment find me, not the other way around.

It’s no longer about chasing a standard—it’s about showing up. Staying present. Letting the practice shape the vision. One frame at a time.
